- Check plaster casts for edges that may tear or puncture the cast protector.
- Hold the plastic ring firmly, then pull over cast or bandage. Be sure the cast protector completely covers the cast or bandage and fits snugly around limb to form a secure seal.
- Before removal be sure to dry the diaphragm of the cast protector.
- When removing be sure to grasp the plastic ring and not the vinyl (PVC) bag as this may cause tearing.
