This is a good hair gel that doesn't make your hair crunchy or create white flakes. The scent is very subtle and has a mild coconut tropical scent. I choose this gel because it's cleaner ingredients than most commercial gels out there, and it is clear which is important for salt & pepper or grey hair. Colored gels leave a strange tint on lighter grey hair.

This gel is ok for my curls. I paired it with the Hawaiian Ginger leave-in conditioner, and the hold was so-so. The curls were somewhat defined, but there were some fluffy bits not forming solid ringlets. I have started to realize that custard texture products work better for my hair texture, and this is more of a traditional gel. It smells nice though, and I love the rest of the Hawaiian Ginger line.
