Not a well researched strain of Subtilis

Looks high quality and everything as you would expect for a probiotic capsule. I bought this to use in the Dr Davis SIBO yoghurt protocol, and tried to make it in milk, but I ended up with loose watery curds and no acidity. I have seen on forums that the strain of Vitamatic Subtilis supplement is MB BSM12, which is different to Dr Davis' recommendation of HU58. When you look on BacDive you will see that all Subtilis microbes are not acid forming in general, so it seems that it would be difficult to create yoghurt from any Subtilis Supplement. I looked up in academic databases if there is any published research on each microbe, and this is what came back. BSM12: Research on BSM12 is limited and mostly focused on niche applications, such as its use in oral probiotic formulations. There is little published data on its broader safety, efficacy, or industrial applications. Contrast HU58: This strain is well-documented in scientific literature, especially for its probiotic properties, safety profile, and use in human health applications. HU58 is often referenced in clinical and preclinical studies, and its genome and functional characteristics are well described. So in summary, I don't think this is a well researched strain of Subtilis, and would prefer that the actual strain is listed in the product description, including research papers listed on it's researched therapeutic benefits if any.
